msgs"
Most of us have
received a text
message, an e-mail,
a letter, or a note
from a friend. A lot
of times when we
receive one, we
can’t wait to see
what the writer has
to say. We open it
up and can’t wait to
see the emotion and
thought that the
author of the letter
has poured into it.
It’s the same thing
with the Bible –
it’s just that the
person behind each
note is God. And the
notes aren’t only
about God, they’re
also about who we
are.
During this teaching
series called
txt msgs,
we will enter a new
world of words and
find
ourselves in on a
conversation in
which God has the
first and last
words. What we soon
will realize is that
we are included in
the conversation.
This is precisely
what generation
after generation of
Bible readers find:
the Bible is not
only written about
us but to us. In
these txt msgs we
become insiders to a
conversation in
which God uses words
to form and bless
us, to teach and
guide us, to forgive
and save us.

will be raking
leaves in the
community. Please
bring your rakes,
gloves and $5.00 for
pizza. Remember to
dress appropriately
for the cooler
weather. Parent
pick-up time will be
at 4:00pm.
Attention 6th-8th
graders!
We
will gather on
Sunday mornings at
10:30am downstairs
and then walk
together over to the
office for our
meeting time. After
our time together
your parents can
pick you up
downstairs over in
the main building.

at 6pm in the church
parking lot.
Midnight Son is a
High Octane Gospel
Band in the classic
power trio format.
The band consists of
Reece Lincoln on
guitar & lead
vocals, Brad
Willison on bass &
vocals and our own
Kody McCoy on drums
& vocals.
Midnight Son was one
of 27 bands chosen
nationwide to
compete in the CBS
Early Show Living
Room Live Battle of
the Bands. We were
also on America’s
Got Talent
performing a
commercial, live
from
Chicago. Reece
Lincoln was the 2007
Guitar Center King
of the Blues Dayton
store winner.
Make a point to
invite your
unchurched friends
and family for a
great free concert.
Free popcorn, coffee
and hot chocolate
will be provided as
well!
